The Cobiax system is a void made of plastic, which takes the place of solid concrete inside the reinforced slab. This not only reduces the weight and amount of concrete used, but also makes it possible to construct buildings using thinner slabs and significantly longer spans. Since less material is used, there is also a cost reduction for the entire supporting structure of a building.
As a result of their reduced weight and improved level of efficiency, Cobiax hollow flat tiles also enable the dimensions of a building's load-bearing elements to be reduced, making them ideal solutions for use in the optimization of the initial foundation, in case of a weak infrastructure and for the economic renovation and restoration of existing buildings. What's more, the environment is protected, as our void formers use less material and are made entirely from recycled plastic.
